Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Confidence is like respect; you have to earn it.”

“Entitlement is simply the belief that you deserve something. Which is great. The hard part is, you’d better make sure you deserve it.”

I’ve never seen “The Office” and “The Mindy Project” so it’s not always clear to me whenever there are references (in the book) to these shows. So why did I buy the book? The book title got me. Because, why not me? And did I find the answers I was looking for? Yes. Yes. Yes. Mindy Kaling — the effortlessly funny, successful woman who was once betrayed, rejected and even has body issues of her own. She is relatable and genuine. And the fact that she met Bradley Cooper? Well, that was icing on the cake! 😉

  • “The truth is, it’s hard to get people to like you, but it’s even harder to keep people liking you.”
  • “You take your mentoring where you can find it, even if it is not being offered to you.”
  • “Steer into the curve.”
  • “He didn’t need to shout to be heard.”
  • “They gave you that trophy so you wouldn’t feel bad, not because you deserved it. You should know the difference.”
